چکیده
Abstract Over the past decades, relativistic density functional theory has been greatly developed and widely applied to investigate a variety of nuclear phenomena. In this paper, we briefly review concept covariant in physics with few latest applications describing ground-state excitation properties as well dynamics. Moreover, attempts build microscopic universal are also discussed terms successful fully self-consistent Brueckner–Hartree–Fock calculations.

Fast multiresolution methods for density functional theory in nuclear physics
We describe a fast real-analysis based O(N) algorithm based on multiresolution analysis and low separation rank approximation of functions and operators for solving the Schrödinger and Lippman-Schwinger equations in 3-D with spin-orbit potential to high precision for bound states. Each of the operators and wavefunctions has its own structure of refinement to achieve and guarantee the desired fi...
متن کامل3 Relativistic Density Functional Theory
In these lectures on relativistic density functional theory I had the choice to provide a kind of survey, or to concentrate on a few specific aspects in greater detail. I chose the first option. In order to give you the opportunity to fill in the (often gory) details, I will distribute a list of references, augmented by suitable comments on the contents of the papers cited. In my lectures I wil...
متن کاملRelativistic Nuclear Physics
We quote arguments from discussions about relativistic nuclear physics for a claim that the light-front Hamiltonian approach and the similarity renormalization scheme may provide a missing element in a theory of baryons and mesons. The key point is that the meson-baryon vertex form factors can be correlated with the number and type of interaction terms in the Hamiltonian, in agreement with quan...
متن کاملError Analysis in Nuclear Density Functional Theory
Nuclear density functional theory (DFT) is the only microscopic, global approach to the structure of atomic nuclei. It is used in numerous applications, from determining the limits of stability to gaining a deep understanding of the formation of elements in the universe or the mechanisms that power stars and reactors. The predictive power of the theory depends on the amount of physics embedded ...
متن کاملNuclear fission in covariant density functional theory
The current status of the application of covariant density functional theory to microscopic description of nuclear fission with main emphasis on superheavy nuclei (SHN) is reviewed. The softness of SHN in the triaxial plane leads to an emergence of several competing fission pathes in the region of the inner fission barrier in some of these nuclei. The outer fission barriers of SHN are considera...
